Art 458: Branding and Identity
This project required me to build a brand identity for my hometown. Stevens Point is a city in central Wisconsin with a population of roughly 20,000 people and it is where I grew up my entire life. Itβs a place where people go to settle down, raise a family, and live out a typical small town American life. Central to the culture of our city is the Stevens Point Brewery which has brewed craft beers and sodas since 1857 β one year before the city was officially chartered. Due to the relationship and relevance that the brewery and beer have with Stevens Point, I used the recognizable shape of the beer bottle as the basis for my mark. in addition, this project was chosen by my professor to be featured in an exhibit showcasing student art for the semester.
